MOTOCROSS RIDER INSURANCE

Motocross is a sport with an inherent risk that can lead to incidents and claims.  The skillset, the speed, the turns, the racers, and the bikes can cause serious injury. Without proper safety measures, such as wearing protective gear and following best practices, you’re exposed to injury or liability. Most motocross insurance policies do not provide coverage for participants of the sport while practicing or competing.

XINSURANCE will provide customized insurance solutions for third-party bodily injury and third-party property damage, so you can keep on riding with true peace of mind. Motocross Rider Insurance is for racers and riders.

What Types of Injury Can Happen During Motocross?

study monitoring injury in pediatric motocross athletes determined that out of 35 participants, all of them suffered an injury, including one causing death. Most of these injuries were fractures on the lower half of the body.

An injury could be something minor such as a dislocation or a hairline fracture that heals quickly, but motocross participants can also suffer significant and catastrophic injuries.

Out of the five most common motocross injuries, three are bone breakages. All involve long and uncomfortable recovery times.

How Do I Protect Myself From Liability or Injury?

The best way to protect yourself and your riders is to take the necessary safety precautions by ensuring that:

  • your riders are wearing adequate safety gear at all times during races and practice sessions.
  • broken safety gear is immediately replaced.
  • the bikes are regularly checked and maintained.
  • the track is checked for potential hazards and obstacles.
  • your riders only ride if they are in good health and injury-free.
  • your riders aren’t overtired or overworked.
  • practice sessions include adequate respite breaks.
  • riders receive all the necessary support and safety measures when attempting to learn new tricks and stunts.
  • riders observe speed limits.
  • riders observe safety rules.
  • your riders understand and follow race day rules.
  • there is adequate insurance coverage.

If you’re a commercial motocross business, you’ll likely be very aware that it’s extremely difficult to get motocross insurance for your riders. Most policies won’t cover such a high-risk sport leaving you wide open to liability claims.

Fortunately, there is an answer and we can provide it.

What Other Damage Can A Motocross Bike Cause?

Not only the rider can sustain damage during motocross events or practice sessions. An out-of-control bike can also cause significant damage to property during crashes or collisions with other bikes. Unpredictable terrain, unforeseen obstacles, and natural events, such as extreme weather, can also make the motocross track a very hazardous place to be.

Collisions involving other people can also cause injury and harm, whether they are other riders or members of the public.
